After receiving his Motor Vehicle Mechanic’s License from The Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in Ottawa, ON, Bob began his career in the automotive industry as an apprentice mechanic. From there, Bob received endorsements in air conditioning, natural gas, as well as upgrading his mechanical skills to remain competitive in the automotive industry.

Bob is well travelled, a hobby since 1979, which began with Canada and the Caribbean. He particularity enjoys the aspects of sightseeing and learning about cultural intricacies.

Bob is still very active in sports including hockey, golf, and his main passion, scuba diving – which he first tried while in the Dominican Republic in the ‘90s. His sense of adventure is exercised through parasailing, bungee jumping, and exploring.

How did Bob become a travel consultant? After a number of years as a mechanic – among other trades, Bob decided to make his passion his business. Bob enrolled in Algonquin College’s Travel and Tourism program and graduated with top marks. He had found his calling.

During the spring of 2002, Bob embarked on a journey to become a PADI open water scuba instructor. As an instructor and a travel consultant, Bob could teach others the majestic beauty of exploring the underwater world. Working at Sharky’s Scuba Supply, Bob is able to teach clients and friends alike about scuba diving and snorkeling – and can then plan their scuba dive trip to a dream destination.
