This adventure is designed for those who want to get off the beaten track, don't mind roughing it a little and have only a limited time in the north of Thailand. From Bangkok we board our overnight train north. For three days we travel to remote hilltribes in the north of Thailand and walk, ride and raft through thickly forested hills and scenic valleys. Two nights will be spent sleeping in local hilltribe houses. We also spend a couple of days in the north's cultural centres of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai to include the Golden Triangle. The local food and shopping are highlights in the north before flying back to Bangkok where our journey ends.
